Author: Stacey Kennedy

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About Skirt Chaser:

Love gets filthy in this new erotic romance by USA Today bestselling author, Stacey Kennedy.

Greyson Crawford works hard by day and plays even harder at night. And he understands and obeys the rules of the game. One, don’t mix business and pleasure. Two, employees are off-limits. So, he’s been eagerly counting down the days until interior designer, Evie Richards is no longer under contract with his Seattle architecture firm. But when that day comes, he realizes there are more obstacles in his way. The biggest…Evie herself.

Until Evie gets asked to be the maid-of-honor in her best friend’s destination wedding, and Evie needs a date. The circumstances are perfect for Greyson to set his plan of seduction into motion. He will happily play the boyfriend for the weeklong wedding event, if Evie will surrender to his every command and play in his bed.

For Evie, it’s all fun and games until Greyson’s first touch; then she begins to question what’s real. She knows better than to fall for a guy like Greyson—a skirt chasing ladies’ man—but with every slow caress and kinky adventure, she realizes that Greyson knows what he wants, and it isn’t just her body surrendering to him…it’s her heart.

Review:

Greyson knows to never touch an employee.  That’s why he’s been counting the days until Evie’s contract is up.  When that day comes an opportunity lands in his lap to spend three whole days with her.  But, for it to work she must play his game.  She must surrender to him and know after the three days its over.  When Evie agrees neither of them could anticipate how each will be changed by this simple agreement.

Whoo-We this was a steamy read.  The sex was off the charts hot.  The chemistry between Greyson and Evie builds to an unbelievable crescendo.  Stacey Kennedy does an amazing job writing a sexy romance that both makes you hot and bothered and invests you in the characters.  Though this is a shorter romance then some I’ve been reading lately it really pays off in the end.  I really felt what Greyson and Evie felt toward one another.  How they changed from the moment the agreement was set was a phenomenal journey that had me staying up late to finish this book.  If you are looking for just one more beach read, then you have found it with this one.

Exclusive Excerpt:

Intent and careful to take his time not to scare any other employees in the restroom, Grey entered the simple and modern bathroom with the five stalls. Only one door was closed, and there was no one at the sink, so he moved toward the vanity and leaned against it. Hands shoved into his pockets, he stared at the closed door, giving Evie the time she needed. That’s when he heard her soft cries, and with those pained noises, something inside of him tensed.

It was a sensation strong enough to make him question what it was about this woman that drew him in so intently. She’d gotten a grip on his mind and body so tightly that he pondered her situation, and his, and what he could do about both. He’d become so lost in his thoughts that he didn’t realize she’d opened the door until she was leaving the stall and striding out.

Head down, she hadn’t noticed him yet, so he called out to her, “Evie.”

Her head snapped up, a scream ripping from her throat, hands pressing against her chest. “Holy shit!”

He couldn’t help but chuckle. “I’m sorry for scaring you.” His amusement washed away when he took a good look at her face. There was so much pain there. He didn’t like it.

The shock from her face slowly faded. “Why are you in here?” she asked.

“To return your phone to you.” He moved to her, watching her following his every step. The heat in her eyes was instant, and that’d always been the problem. She wanted him. Christ, did she want him, he could tell. But she was smart and clever, never one to cross the professional line either. She was also a good girl, who likely needed love before sex. Maybe that was the real reason she didn’t ever cross the line. Maybe it was less about the job and more about protecting her heart from a guy that screamed danger. He could understand why.

Though he never was a man who took the easy road, and he sure as shit liked a challenge. He stared into her gorgeous eyes, and a plan formed. One that got him what he wanted, and yet would benefit her, too. He’d never been a sly or shady guy, but he was a good businessman. And that meant using a situation to his advantage.

“So, that’s it. You got out the good cry you needed to,” he said to her, and he liked the way her lips parted when he leaned in toward her; it showed him just how much she yearned for his kiss. “Your ex is marrying your best friend,” he added. “He’s an asshole. She’s a bitch. This is happening, but it’s how you deal with it that truly matters.”

“He’s not an asshole,” she said softly, shaking her head. “And she’s not a bitch. I’ve helped plan their wedding for the last year, and I’m happy for them. I think…maybe it hadn’t sunk in or something.” She drew in a deep breath, releasing it out her nose and added with a soft smile, “But I’m better now. I’m sorry I fell apart out there.”

“One, I disagree with you,” he retorted sternly. “I’m not convinced these aren’t terrible people. And two, do not apologize that their selfishness hurt you. In fact, I’d say it’s time to get revenge.”

The side of her mouth arched slightly. He noted her long exhale, and he knew that had nothing to do with emotions. That it was this push and pull thing going on between them. Call it chemistry, intensity, whatever, it was as addictive as it was captivating. “How exactly do I do that?” She grabbed a paper towel, got it a bit wet with cold water, and then began wiping off her makeup, adding, “Murder them?” She gave him her sexy smile that pooled heat in his groin.

Grey chuckled, leaning his hip against the counter. “Perhaps that’s a bit extreme. Murder means jail time, and you going away is definitely not what I want.”

She slowly glanced at him then, cheeks flushing pink, and the dilation of her pupils was obvious. That look had snagged him the very first day after his COO hired her to design the lobby of the interior of their latest multi-million-dollar high-rise.

Now, the look intensified, hardening his cock, centering his mind on all the wicked things he’d like to do to her. He stepped toward her, as she spun around, leaning against the counter, wide eyes on him. There was something about her, maybe her innocence, maybe this unexplainable connection that had only grown since he worked alongside her, but it captured him in an unbreakable spell.

In the seconds that passed, the desire practically wafted off her, scented so sweet his cock went hard just that easily. As it always did, the space between them felt charged with electricity, but he’d never gotten this close to her before. He never let her feel the extent of how he wanted her. Now, he held nothing back.

“I have a better idea than jail time,” he told her, giving her enough distance that if she wanted to move and leave the bathroom, she could. When she stayed put, he added, “Show these bastards up. Take me with you, and make them both ragingly jealous.”

Her eyes searched his, then she broke out in loud laughter. “Yeah, right. Hilarious.”

She might have said one thing, but the only thing he noticed was that she wasn’t moving, eyes locked on him. “I’m not kidding,” he said, erasing the distance between them, placing both hands on either side of her, trapping her between him and the counter.

“You’re not kidding,” she said, more of a statement than a question.

Grey glanced from her bottom lip she nibbled to her flushed cheeks to her smoldering eyes… Christ, what he’d do to this woman. It would be indecent. “I would never joke about something that so clearly upsets you,” he told her seriously. “I can only imagine you want to one-up them. I know I would. Use me to do it.”

“She’s my best friend,” she said softly. “I don’t need to one-up her.”

He let his gaze roam over her pretty face before looking into her smoldering eyes again. “Tell me it’s never crossed your mind what it would feel like to walk in there not like a sad third wheel but like a woman who owns the world.”

“And how would that ever happen?’

“You’ll have me on your arm.”

Her mouth twisted. “You’re pretty sure of yourself.”

“Angel, I am never the third wheel of anything,” he told her, dead serious. “I’m the engine, the accelerator, and the whole damn car.”

She swallowed deeply and studied him, hard. “All right,” she eventually said, “say I’m game and actually agree to this crazy plan, what do you get out of it?”

“I get you.” He brought his mouth close enough to tease her. She wanted his kiss, angling her head backward, parting her lips. He dragged his nose across hers, and added, “I get to have you in all the ways you know I want you. Beneath me, over me, against a wall, on your knees, screaming my name, whatever I want. Completely under my control.” And to ensure there were no misunderstandings, he sternly added, “My game. My rules. Your surrender, until we’re back in Seattle.”

In a breathy voice, she asked, “Tell me why any sane woman would do this?”

He grinned at her—a sly smile that worked its charm on many women but seemed to have an even greater effect on her. He watched the way the heat rippled through her, and her breath grew rough and raspy, and fuck, did he want to make her moan.

“First, and most importantly,” he answered, staying on point, “you will do this because we both know you’ve been looking for a good reason to say yes to a little guilt-free, no-strings-attached with me. So, here it is. I’m giving you the perfect scenario for us to make that happen. The rules are clear. There can be no misunderstandings.”

She hadn’t blinked. “And second?”

“Secondly,” he said, moving his nose to her neck, inhaling her scent of sugar and spice while he slid back up her smooth skin to her ear, feeling her shuddering under his touch. “I’m that guy that every woman, including your bitch of a best friend, will want.” He lifted his head, staring into her lust-filled eyes. “I’m the perfect guy to show your shithead ex-boyfriend you’ve moved up in the world.”

She finally blinked. “When exactly would this arrangement start?”

“Tonight. My house. Eight o’clock. Bring your suitcase.” He paused, considered his next steps. “Send your flight and resort details to my email so I can get that squared away.”

She nodded. “Okay.”

He took her chin, tilting her eyes to lock onto his. “The proper reply is: ‘Yes, Grey, I agree to your terms.’”

Silence fell.

A slowly seductive, delicious darkness slid over her eyes with her grin. “Yes, Grey, I agree to your terms.”

Review: For 100 Reasons by Lara Adrian

New York Times Bestselling Author Lara Adrian’s FOR 100 REASONS, the conclusion to the sexy, suspenseful 100 series is releasing today and we couldn’t be more excited to share this title with you.

Love takes no prisoners…

Billionaire Dominic Baine stepped into Avery Ross’s life when it was at its lowest. Obsessed with the beautiful, struggling artist, Nick was determined to have her. What began as a scorching seduction soon burned out of control, exploding into a white-hot passion neither of them could deny.

Yet Nick and Avery are two damaged people, both haunted by dark secrets with the power to destroy them. And for Nick, the ugly past that shaped him cannot compare to the unforgivable deception that drives Avery from his arms, from his life. Now the man accustomed to having everything he desires must find a way to redeem himself to the only woman he has ever loved.

Avery Ross has known heartbreak. She has known betrayal and loss, but nothing like the pain that loving Dominic Baine has brought into her life. Reeling from the aftermath of his devastating revelation, instead of allowing despair to break her, she builds herself into something stronger—the fearless woman and artist Nick’s passion has taught her to be. Yet her heart is in pieces, and despite everything she has, the one thing she needs is the man whose possessive desires and consuming love holds the power to either save them both or shatter her forever…

Review:

Nick broke Avery’s heart.  But, no matter what she does she can’t get him out of her mind.  Even after a year she still finds running into him difficult to face.  Their passion and chemistry still as strong as ever.  When Avery finally decides to give him a chance to explain why he hurt her the way he did she finds herself opening back up to him.  Can Avery truly trust the man who broke her so completely?  Can Nick finally tell Avery about his dark past?  Or will this new beginning end up shattering them both?

I loved this ending to this trilogy.  Nick and Avery dive even further into the complex relationship they had.  Their chemistry and sex as steamy as ever.  I was very curious how this series would end.  Lara Adrian is a complete master when it comes to telling a story.  This book had me wrapped around it’s bindings until I finally finished.  I can tell you I finished with tears in my eyes and a feeling of love that jumped right off the pages.  Overall, I fell all over again for Nick and Avery.  Their story, though over, left me with a great sense of completion and it ended just they way it should have.  If your looking for a great sex charged, emotional and enthralling series you need to pick this one up.

Review: Love Sex Music by Michelle A. Valentine

Love Sex Music Cover

Synopsis:

Fame can disappear in an instant…

Fortune is a fleeting fantasy…

Laz Rawlings had them both, until he lost it all…

Laz, a former world-famous music producer screwed up everything thanks to his rock-n-roll lifestyle, but he’s been given an opportunity to prove his genius in the music industry wasn’t a fluke, and he’s hell-bent on not letting history repeat itself. But that’s proving difficult when the young singer he’s tasked with grooming has become the object of his every desire.

Life has been an uphill battle for Aundrea Newton, so when a sexy, tattooed stranger hand delivers her dream of a music career, she’s skeptical. Nothing ever comes easy, and she knows Laz has the power to crush both her career and her heart with his undeniable sex appeal and charismatic swagger.

When the line between mentor and student blurs, both begin to question what’s more important: Love, sex or the music.

**STANDALONE. No Cliffhanger**

Review:

Laz is the now recovering bad boy.  He finally has his life together and he is getting his own label up and running.  What he doesn’t need is to be attracted to the best singer in his newly formed girl group.  Aundrea knows falling for Laz is a bad idea.  He is her boss and just too sexy.  When the passion becomes too much and the two throw caution to the wind will it last or will the things they don’t know about each other out weigh their feelings for one another?

Michelle A. Valentine writes a rock romance like no other.  I have been a fan of hers since her Black Falcon series.  Her ability to write romance with the sexy rock bad boys is phenomenal.  I think the best twist with this is that the stars become the women and the men are in the background.  It definitely made a unique spin.  Laz and Aundrea are fantastic.  You completely fall for the two of them.  Both troubled and over coming their pasts.  The sexual tension between them builds to a fever pitch and what happens next will steam up the pages.  Though Laz and Drea are front and center, Cam and Drea’s sister Candace are great additions.  I would love to see their story next…hint…hint…hint.  The story moves so well I couldn’t put this down until I was finished. And then all I wanted was more.  I guarantee this book will have you drooling, tearing up and smiling at any point.  If you haven’t read Michelle A. Valentine yet then go and pick this one up.  You won’t regret it.

Review: His to Have (Claimed #2) by Jade Sinner

Our final steamy story for this Smutty Sunday will be a bit reminiscent of 50 Shades of Grey with a twist.  The Claimed series is definitely an outside of the box set of stories.  His to Have has the steamy sex, BDSM and a mystery man that pushes the heroine just the way she needs.  For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.

31375098Book Blurb:

Victor
She’s every man’s wet dream. Every night on the TV, broadcasting the news with her tight skirts and tits in front of the world.
I’ve sat back and watched as she thinks she runs the world, directing everyone and everything. But her time is up. I’ve planned this for too long.
She’s mine and I plan to have her—all of her.

Erika
I’m content. My career is going places. My marriage is safe. I don’t want anything to rock my world, until I have no choice. Until Sir.
Now it will never be the same.

Review:

Erika has her life and career in line.  She feels everything is safe.  That is until Sir comes into her life.  He will teach her both pleasure and pain.  Can Erika let go and let Sir rock her perfect world?  She will need to open her mind and body to someone she’s never seen before.

This was definitely a sexy book.  Jade Sinner does a great job with their short sexy books.  This is the first of their foray into BDSM.  It was also written in a way to make it appear Erika didn’t know the person “Sir”.  That was quite inventive.  You will learn who Sir really is and the extra level that is going on with this story.  I won’t spoil that for you but it definitely added a great addition to this steamy story.  This has been yet another great Jade Sinner book.  I hope I have been able to show you that Jade Sinner is one set of sexy storytellers.  That you will not regret reading.

Review: Ashton-The Agreement by Jade Sinner

This is the next review for our Smutty Sunday.   Ashton by Jade Sinner is the second book in The Cocky Smiling O series.  This will bring new meaning of friends with benefits.  In this story you will be completely envious of this steamy agreement.   For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.

30140556Book Blurb:

Ashton
Friendship—forever and always.
Sex—never.
That is our agreement. Besides, I’m not looking for sex. I get lots of sex! I’m also not looking for forever. I’m a now kind of man.
Jess has been my best friend since we were dirty faced kids finding trouble around every corner. We are the kind of friends who are always there for one another, through thick and thin, the one who knows each other’s secrets and dreams. That can’t change just because we’ve both grown up, or because she’s beautiful, funny, smart and quick witted.
Until it does.
One call, one night. That won’t change are agreement…then again, agreements can be amended, right?

Jess
Ashton is a manwhore. I’ve heard all his stories and despite them all, I love him.
Not the passionate love. I’ve never looked at him like that—like the cocky, confident, sexy, man he’s become. Because to me, he’s just Ashton, my best friend—until one night.
One night when I learn that the rumors are true, that in reality, they don’t do him justice. His mad skills are off the charts. Yet, that can’t change our agreement. One night has to be enough.
It has to be.
I’m not giving up my best friend for crazy hot lovemaking. But then again, do I have to?

Review:

Ashton and Jess have been friends forever.  Their friendship has been untouchable.  They never thought to have anything more.  That is until Jess’s lying, cheating fiancee opens her up to the idea of a one time agreement with Ashton.  Ashton is leery until he truly sees Jess for the sexy woman she is.  Once this agreement is struck can they really stick to it or will more grow when they aren’t looking?

This has been one of my favorite Jade Sinner books.  I love the friends with benefits story.  It was great and much more natural for a quick love story.  Ashton and Jess know and accept each other even if that means one of them is a manwhore.  It is also easier for them to be open to something more.  Not to mention they have some of the hottest sex scenes.  Some of the best boathouse, up against the wall, screaming at the top of your lungs sex.  If you haven’t picked a Jade Sinner book yet and love a good friends with benefits story you will enjoy this one.

Dirty Royals (A Sexy Manhattan Fairytale: Part Three) — Coming Soon

Review:

After waking up in Vegas married to her archenemy, Margo realizes that her plan to help her father get information on the man trying to take over his company has just become very complicated.  But, its not going to be complicated for her.  Alex realizes to keep the power in his own company then this marriage must seem very real.  They must pretend that it is full of love and lots of sex.  What happens when the pretending starts to feel too real and their plans of tricking each other become more difficult to follow through with?

This second installment was fantastic.  Being a fan of Michelle A. Valentine’s Black Falcon series I knew she could write but with this story she has taken her writing to another level.  The characters continue to develop and as they do the story becomes more and more rich.  Margo and Alex’s sexual chemistry and their banter is so important for the story.  It is through those two factors that propel this installment to a more emotional level.  With each part of this story, Michelle A. Valentine shows how versatile her writing can be.  I truly can’t wait for the next part in Margo and Alexander’s story.

Review: Find Me by Laurelin Page

Today I have the awesome privilege to share with you Laurelin Page’s follow-up to Free Me.  This highly anticipated sequel does not disappoint.  With all the suspense and steamy sex that was in the first and add in more drama than one person should experience allows for a wild ride that will leave you extremely satisfied.  For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.

Find MeBook Blurb:

Gwen Anders came to The Sky Launch to begin fresh, away from the horrors of her past. She fit in quickly, becoming good friends with her co-manager, Alayna Withers and the owner of the club, Hudson Pierce. Though the circumstances that brought her here were not the best, she’s never felt more at home.

But starting a new life means letting go. And there are some things she doesn’t want to leave behind – like JC, the man who taught her how to let loose. The man she wasn’t supposed to fall in love with. The man she doesn’t want to lose.

Now, with the reason she ran still a threat, Gwen fears she’ll never be able to move on completely. And if she does, can she still hold out hope that JC loves her enough to come and find her?

Review:

Gwen has tried to remain loyal to JC for the past year.  The problem is that she wasn’t.  Though she was unsure she would ever see him again, she held out hope even when she was sleeping with her best friend’s brother in law.  When she finally does see JC again it is on tv and he is testifying at the trial for his former fiancée’s murderer.  Not being able to resist the draw she goes to see him at the trial.  She is convinced he is past her until he surprises her at work.  Though Gwen still wants to be mad for the past year she can’t help but feel the pull that JC still has on her.  Can Gwen and JC really make a life full of secrets work or will past mistakes and secrets destroy their love?

This was a fantastic sequel to Free Me.  The same amount of suspense and steam poured through the pages.  Getting to finally know who JC is and all of his secrets was both satisfying and terrifying.  The twists and turns that were thrown at Gwen were masterfully woven and added a lot of depth to Gwen’s character.  We really get to see how she would react to things that she thought she’d never have to deal with.  I think the best thing was it wasn’t just ordinary trials and tribulations.  There was an added bonus of always something more to the problems for them to overcome.  Overall, Laurelin Page out did herself with this sequel.  I can’t wait to read more.

He’s not a man to be taken lightly, and Jules Montgomery is about to find out just how he responds to being pushed aside after the best night of sex he’s ever had. Review:

Jules made a huge mistake.  She slept with her very sexy boss.  After sneaking out to avoid the inevitable awkward day after conversation, she successfully avoids him for weeks until she is asked to work late with him.  That night changes everything. With his proposition to spend the weekend together they make the decision to ignore the no fraternization policy and see each other.  Jules is trying to protect her heart from this man that she is falling for so quickly.  Once she really gets to know him she realizes that this isn’t just about the great sex anymore.  It’s so much more.  But, when Jules is betrayed in the worse way, will she just drop everything and run from the one person who has her heart or will she be open to forgiveness and let love in?

Jules is one of my favorite characters in this series.  Her braziness and tell it like it is ability really resonates with me.  She is the type of person each girl should have as a friend at some point in their life.  She is equally matched with Nate her boss.  He is so much more than a hot bod and a phenomenal businessman.  It was really fun watching them peel back the layers of each others lives.  With this we also got to meet more the Montgomery family.  Jules’ brothers are awesome and you can definitely envision the hotness that comes from that family.  This story was a great addition.  It really mixed the sensual with the relationship.  It didn’t make it all about sex but you really felt the love between them.  It takes the incredible talent of Kristen Proby to bring a story like this to life.

And this time, Cherry can’t hide behind a carefree facade. Because the man by her side is one who’ll fight like hell to keep her safe…if only she’ll trust him enough to let him…

Review:

Denver has been fighting his attraction to Cherry.  Knowing that she is friends with a lot of his friends women helps to drive him to keep away from her.  That is until Cherry finally convinces him to grab hold to more than just watching her.  After there steamy night together everything changes.  Both Denver and Cherry’s feelings become more real and undeniable.  But, before anything can happen with Denver and Cherry, Cherry’s past comes back and wants her and will stop at nothing to get to her.  Can Denver and Cherry fight off the past and still be together?

This was my very first Lori Foster book.  Let me tell you I am a huge fan now.  I want to go back and read book one in the Ultimate series and then keep going onto Stack’s book.  Denver and Cherry were so awesome.  Their characters were both relatable and realistic.  Cherry was a great match to the alpha male, Denver.  She was strong and resilient and you see that when her past is uncovered.  But, in the same Denver is a strong alpha male with a heart of gold.  These are always my favorite kinds of males to read about.  The story itself was great with all of the side characters being just as interesting as the main characters.  But, I think one of the best parts of this book was the seamless way that Lori Foster intertwined the love and sex between Denver and Cherry and the suspense of Cherry’s past that comes chasing her.  Overall, this was an entertaining read that kept me wanting more and can’t wait til Stack’s book next.

She promptly makes the tiny, serene town her home and finally finds some semblance of peace. But how does she handle a man who is hell bent on resisting her at all cost?

Christian Stockwell returned to his hometown of Eden’s Ridge, to find a beautiful stranger living under his roof. He is instantly bewitched by her loveliness but he knows that he cannot allow himself to have her. He struggles to rein in the lust he feels for her but how long will he be able to resist such sweetness? It won’t be long before he must surrender to sweet serendipity.

Review:

Christian is finally returning home after a long absence.  His recent experience in his photojournalism has changed him.  He feels he is damaged beyond repair and just needs a break.  But, when he pulls into his old childhood home that should be empty he finds not only is it occupied but it is occupied by a beautiful stranger.  Rayne meets the owner of the house she is renting when bursts into the bathroom while she is taking a shower and he’s holding a gun.  It is from this point that they continue to fight their attraction and the nightmares that haunt them both.  But when they finally succumb to their desires will they both be able to let go of their pasts and open up to the feelings they have?

This was an entertaining and sexy read.  When Christian and Rayne finally get together the pages catch on fire with the heat between them.  It isn’t just the heat and sex that drives this story though.  There are some very emotional moments with these two characters.  When they are finally honest regarding their pasts there is a real depth to the emotion.  When this finally happens it gave a new level to the story and really took it from a steamy story to multi-layered novel.  This is definitely a good novel if you want to have a steamy read with a great story.
