Review: Real Dirty by Meghan March

Real Dirty AMAZONI have everything a guy could want—a new single burning up the charts, more money than a simple country boy could spend, and a woman I’m planning to marry.

Until she doesn’t show up for my proposal.

The life I thought was so perfect, isn’t.

The guy who thought he had everything, doesn’t.

I’ve got my heart on lockdown, but life sends me straight into the path of a mouthy bartender who puts me in my place.

Now the only place I want to put her is under me.

I thought I was done with love, but maybe I’m just getting started.

Review:

Ripley swears she will never be like her mother.  No celebrity no matter who will convince her to break her rule.  That is until Boone Thrasher, the bad boy of country music, comes into her bar.  Her dormant lady parts immediately perk up.  As much as she fights it she can’t help but wanting him.  But, one time isn’t enough.  As Boone and Ripley become closer so do the paparazzi.  Can Boone and Ripley find a way to be together or will their lives crumble around them?

I love Meghan March’s books more and more.  Boone and Ripley are as steamy as it gets.  They have explosive chemistry and you truly feel connected to them.  The emotional ups and downs both of them experience will have the reader feeling them right along with them.  This is a book you cannot put down.  Meghan March is the queen of writing spunky heroines and sexy Alpha’s that every woman wants to get her hands on.  The drama along with the steamy sex will have your lady parts screaming for more Boone Thrasher.  I can’t wait for the next book in this duet.  Boone Thrasher has easily become my favorite bad boy of country music.  If you are looking for your next unputdownable read, look no further than Real Dirty.

Real Sexy AMAZONIn Nashville, country stars are a dime a dozen.

I swore I’d never get caught up with one, but Boone Thrasher made a liar out of me.

I said I’d never put my heart on the line, but he didn’t ask before he stole it.

Now we’re facing my worst fears, and we’ll see if this country boy is tough enough to see it through.

Girls like me don’t get happily ever afters… but maybe he’ll prove that wrong too.

Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She’s also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she’s ever had. She loves hearing from her readers at meghanmarchbooks@gmail.com.

Review: The Griffin’s Secret by Cate Masters

Happy Friday!  To me it has felt like forever getting here.  Today I get to share with you a great story by Cate Masters.  This is a modern retelling of The Griffin with the added bonus of some paranormal and hot rock star mixed in.  For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.  Have an awesome weekend!!

23450197Book Blurb:

Jackson Grant had it all—the girl he loved, his Harley, and his guitar. Until a tragic accident stole it all away. Now, more than scars and a tattoo remain. Jackson has a secret. Cursed by his dead girlfriend’s mother, he can never fall in love again or his beloved will die. With his heart on lockdown, he keeps to himself—until a roadie gig with Malcontent, the world’s most popular band, entwines his fate with sweet, wounded Layla’s…

Music is what Layla lives for. She has no choice. She’s bound by magic to serve Malcontent, cursed to propel them to stardom with her musical powers. Then Jackson appears and gives her hope that he’s the hero who will save her. A reluctant hero, yet one she can’t resist. But freedom will come at price—and who will pay…?

Review:

Jackson is cursed.  His curse won’t let him love again without the girl dying from his curse.  Layla has her own problems.  She is bound by magic to the lead singer in a mega band, Malcontent.  All she wants to do is break free.  When she meets Jackson she realizes with him she wants to break free even more.  Can the two of them break their curses or will they pay the ultimate price?

I really liked this story.  Its a bit shorter than a normal novel but you still get the full impact of the characters and the world they are in.  Jackson and Layla’s love story though a bit whirlwind really makes the reader swoon.  He has all the awesome power of an alpha, but the soft heart of a teddy bear.  The story is well written and  flows wonderfully well between characters.  The ebb and flow between Jackson and Layla’s points of view truly allows for a full story that without it would leave it lacking.  Cate Masters has truly made the story of The Griffin a modern tale with hot alpha male and a strong, sassy heroine.  I recommend this to anyone looking for an enchanting read.
