Happy Thursday! Today I get to bring to you the newest book by the very awesome Daisy Prescott. This is her second novel in her A Love with Altitude series. I adored this book. It has Daisy Prescott’s wonderful humor and romance blended with the back drop of the mountains. for my full review keep reading after the book blurb. Have a great pre-friday!
My savior isn’t prince charming.
I’m not that lucky.
He’s my worst nightmare.
He’s my one night stand from two years ago.
And he doesn’t remember me.
What happens on vacation doesn’t always stay on vacation. Especially in a place like Aspen. I moved to the mountains for my dream vet job. I never expected to run into the man of my dreams. Again.
I never thought I’d see her again.
My Cinderella didn’t leave me a shoe to find her.
Not that I’d need random footwear to recognize her.
Her kiss is something I’ll never forget.
Work hard. Play hard. I’m paid to be a nice guy on the slopes, but what I do in my off time isn’t always about making good choices. That’s the fun of living in a ski town. I stay while the women come and go.
Crazy Over You is a standalone romantic comedy and the second book in the Love with Altitude series.
Mara finds herself having mad a bad choice. She is on a double black diamond slope when she is just above a bunny slope level. On top of everything she is having a panic attack. When her savior arrives in the form of a very sexy ski patroller she can’t help but feel like she’s seen those dimples before. When recognition hits her she realizes he doesn’t remember her. Jesse loves his job. Especially when he comes to the rescue of a beautiful woman on the ski slope. She seems to know her but knows he definitely didn’t have sex with her. As the two dance around their remembrance of that one nigh long ago, they must decide if the feelings they have now are left over lust or the start of something new. Can a real love develop in a town where vacation romances are the only thing that happens?
I loved this book. Mara’s drunken memories of her and Jesse’s “one night stand”, their banter and their growing love really made for a page turner. Mara and Jesse aren’t the only great things about this book. The quirky town folk who live their year round make for a well rounded cast of characters. Not to mention the non-human ones. Fred and George, Mara’s diabolical cats, make for some very entertaining scenes. Each page turn will have you panting for more. Not just the sexier than hell sex scenes but also the wonderful romance that develops from a drunken night years ago. I am not a skier in any sense of the word but I would totally go to aspen just to find these hot ski patrol guys. If you are looking for a phenomenally funny love story with crazy animals and people you will want to pick this book up.
