Review: On His Knees by Laura Kaye

Decadent… Sensual… Forbidden…

Meet the Masters of Blasphemy…

About ON HIS KNEES (Blasphemy #5):

Getting on his knees makes him question everything…and want even more…

Another failed relationship has lawyer Jamie Fielding confronting the truth—he’ll never be satisfied with any woman until he admits what he needs…to submit and to be used—hard. When a friend invites him to the exclusive Blasphemy club, Jamie is stunned to find everything he ever wanted—in the fierce, ruthless hands of a man.

Psychiatrist Alex McGarry will play with anyone who craves his rough brand of domination, but what he really wants is to settle down. Which makes the submissive male he meets at his club a bad idea—the man might be hot as hell but he’s also new to everything Alex has to offer. Except that doesn’t keep them from coming together again and again, sating every one of their darkest desires.

Master Alex sets Jamie’s whole world on fire and makes him question everything—and that’s good. Because Alex won’t tolerate hiding what they have for long and he wants much more than just having Jamie on his knees…

Review:

Alex is bored.  He is one of the twelve founding members of Blasphemy but he isn’t satisfied.  He wants to settle down with just one sub and/or partner but he can’t find them.  That is until he meets Jamie.  Jamie has until recently been unsatisfied in sex.  That is until he realizes he needs pain to really get his enjoyment.  When Alex and Jamie come together they are like fire.  But, when it comes to showing the world their fire will they survive or burn?

This is one hell of a sexy read.  I know my kindle was steaming at times.  This is definitely not in the norm that I review but it was refreshing, sexy and scintillating.  Alex and Jamie’s story of sex, love and finding oneself in the pleasure of another is one many of us can relate to.  I don’t read many M/M stories but this truly didn’t feel like one.  It felt like all the other love stories I read.  If you haven’t read an M/M story before or a BDSM focused story you may have a shock to your system but as with all of Laura Kaye’s books the story will transport you and excite you.

Review: His to Have (Claimed #2) by Jade Sinner

Our final steamy story for this Smutty Sunday will be a bit reminiscent of 50 Shades of Grey with a twist.  The Claimed series is definitely an outside of the box set of stories.  His to Have has the steamy sex, BDSM and a mystery man that pushes the heroine just the way she needs.  For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.

31375098Book Blurb:

Victor
She’s every man’s wet dream. Every night on the TV, broadcasting the news with her tight skirts and tits in front of the world.
I’ve sat back and watched as she thinks she runs the world, directing everyone and everything. But her time is up. I’ve planned this for too long.
She’s mine and I plan to have her—all of her.

Erika
I’m content. My career is going places. My marriage is safe. I don’t want anything to rock my world, until I have no choice. Until Sir.
Now it will never be the same.

Review:

Erika has her life and career in line.  She feels everything is safe.  That is until Sir comes into her life.  He will teach her both pleasure and pain.  Can Erika let go and let Sir rock her perfect world?  She will need to open her mind and body to someone she’s never seen before.

This was definitely a sexy book.  Jade Sinner does a great job with their short sexy books.  This is the first of their foray into BDSM.  It was also written in a way to make it appear Erika didn’t know the person “Sir”.  That was quite inventive.  You will learn who Sir really is and the extra level that is going on with this story.  I won’t spoil that for you but it definitely added a great addition to this steamy story.  This has been yet another great Jade Sinner book.  I hope I have been able to show you that Jade Sinner is one set of sexy storytellers.  That you will not regret reading.

Triple Review: Catch Me, Play Me and Dare Me by Jennifer Probst

Happy Sunday!  I have a great treat for you today.  I have a triple review.  I am reviewing three of the four novellas in Jennifer Probst’s Steele Brothers series.  These three stories exude sex, love and BDSM in an entertaining and thoroughly panty melting way.  For all of my reviews be sure to keep reading after the book blurbs.  Have a great Sunday!

CatchMe(Final)Book Blurb:

Rick Steele has avoided relationships since he caught his fiancée cheating, but when his friend refers him to the exclusive agency, FANTA-C to experience the night of his dreams, he’s not prepared for his emotional and physical reaction to his date. Tara shows him a raw passion and honesty he’s never encountered. For the first time, Rick wants more than one night, but he needs to catch her first…

Tara Denton escaped a brutal past and needs one night with a stranger to get beyond her sexual and emotional limitations. On the brink of recovering her strength and independence, she wants nothing to do with a relationship. But Rick Steele does more than rock her body…he rocks her heart. Tara has to make a choice, but is she ready to get caught?

Review:

Rick has avoided any kind of real relationship since coming to Las Vegas.  When his friend suggests he use an exclusive service called Fanta-C he is skeptical.  When he meets Tara and realizes she needs his dominance to help her get past her limitations due to the brutality that she has experienced.  Through his dominance, Tara experiences a sensuality, safety and love that she has never experienced.  Rick realizes he doesn’t want this to be just one night, but Tara isn’t ready for more.  Will Rick be able to convince her she needs him as much as he needs her or will she keep running?

I really enjoyed this story.  It was entertaining with some very steamy and sexually exciting scenes.  It has a lot of the BDSM in there but it shows you one side to that sexual lifestyle.  Along with the sex is a great story of love and connection that any woman would want to have.  I recommend this book for anyone looking for a good story with a panty-melting edge.

PLAYMe(Final)Book Blurb:

Professional gambler Sloane Keller is tired of dating weak willed men and longs to meet a man who challenges her dominant personality and forces her to submit. As the Queen of Cards, she’s used to making her own rules and craves the excitement of Vegas. But her inner heart cries out for someone who can be her match, both inside the casino and in the bedroom.

As the new dealer in town, Roman Steele is burnt out on women looking for a quick penny and a man to follow. He craves a woman with fire in her soul and a keen intellect who can challenge him. When his brother recruits Madame Eve to help, Rome is amazed at the complicated woman he gets to spend the night with. But when the evening is over, will she be gutsy enough to offer him forever?

Review:

Sloane has never been able to find a man to meet her needs.  She just wants to be able to let go of her power.  Rome sees Sloane and realizes she is all he has ever wanted.  A woman to dominate with needs to let go of the strength she constantly has to have.  With Fanta-C they meet for their one night of sexual expression.  Sloane is unsure whether she wants more than one night.  Rome makes it his mission to convince her that she needs him dominate her to free her.

I loved Rome.  He is strong and knows and loves a strong woman.  Sloane is a fantastic character.  She is a wonderful example of a strong independent woman who threatens men because of her strength.  With her and Rome they set fire to the sheets and their love story is one that I personally loved the most.  With the BDSM component used in a different way from Rick’s story it really shows how different expressions of love and sex can change a person’s life.

DAREMe(Final)Book Blurb:

As a military leader back from the war, and the youngest of his two dominant older brothers, Rafe Steele struggles with a secret. He craves surrender in the bedroom under the controlled hands of a Dominatrix. When his brothers offer him an experience through the exclusive agency, FANTA-C, he jumps at the chance to experience one perfect night. After one experiment, he’s sure he’ll be able to move on. But he never counted on Summer Preston to strip down his walls and make him want more so much more…

An elementary school teacher with a girl next door, fresh face, Summer is constantly barraged by men who want to take care of her, but she longs to meet a strong man who can handle her dominant ways in the bedroom. Trapped in her own storybook life, she books a one-night stand to finally experience her fantasy. But she never counted on Rafe Steele to push her boundaries in both the bedroom…and her heart

Review:

Rafe has always been in charge.  But, unlike his brothers he has secretly always wanted to be dominated in the bedroom.  When Rafe is set up with Summer by Fanta-C he is a little skeptical.  She looks too innocent to be a Dominatrix.  That is until he meets her at her room.  Summer rocks his world.  Though Rafe and Summer have a hot and world changing night he is unable to accept what he wants and is very afraid of what his brothers might think.  Unfortunately, that is not good enough for Summer.  Rafe must decide whether he wants to follow his heart or hide behind his fears.

I enjoyed Rafe’s story.  It was a unique twist.  It really brought a different aspect of BDSM.  With Rafe being the Sub and Summer being the Dom was an interesting view point.  I really enjoyed the different perspectives and it was sexy and entertaining.  Rafe’s dilemma of being honest with himself and his brothers was one that I think could be relatable to many people.  I think after reading about Rome and Rick, Rafe’s story was refreshing and steamy.  Jennifer Probst has done a fantastic job with her Steele Brothers series.  With her strong alphas and sexy fems, women and men who read these stories will fall hard and definitely find the BDSM aspects intriguing.  I know I want to run out and get a pair of handcuffs today 🙂

Review: Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy by E.L James

Ok…yes I am one of those mom’s who have read the Fifty shades trilogy.  I really liked this trilogy, but I don’t think it was necessary for it to be a trilogy.

The basics of these books are surrounding Ana and Christian.  Ana a currently/newly graduate (depending on the book your on) from college and Christian a young self-made multi-millionare.  The basis circles around Ana and Christian’s abnormal sex life and Christian’s very f-ed  up past. That is the very slimed down basic plot that flows through all three books.

Now, to be blunt. The writing is not the best I have encountered.  In fact its pretty elementary, but the descriptions of the sex scenes are incredibly detailed.  That is one of  the hooks with these books.  The sex is inventive and not the norm for romance novels.  Sex isn’t the only thing that draws you though.  The relationship between Ana and Christian really makes any woman envy what they develop.  And the emails are some of the best parts of the books. His jealousy and over protectiveness can drive you crazy, but she can also be very intentionally difficult when she doesn’t need to be.  Those two aspects are what perpetuate the story and keep you coming back for more Ana and Christian.

All that being said…I don’t understand why these books are so controversial.  Yes…the sex isn’t stuff people normally talk about.  And sometimes pictures with those scenes would have been helpful, but it is by no means porn or a horrible harlequin romance.  I would recommend this as a good “junk read”.  Something your not gonna get much out of but will probably give you excellent ideas for the bedroom.  I know I want to go out and buy a silk tie today.
