Review: Flirting with Forever by Kendall Ryan

I’ve waited years for the perfect girl, yet she was right in front of me all along.

My best friend, Natalie, has been by my side through everything. Leaning on my shoulder, borrowing my sweatshirts…and making my pants too tight when she flashes me that sassy smile that drives me crazy.

But she has no idea about that last part. She doesn’t have a clue I’ve felt this way about her for years.

Until one night after too many cocktails, we fall into bed together.

I’m flirting with my forever…she just doesn’t know it yet.

This book is a sexy, slow-burning best-friends-to-lovers romance with a guaranteed HEA and no cheating. Dive in, and get ready to melt for Cam!

Review:

Cam in a moment of solidarity makes a stupid pact with his best friend, Jack.  Only with this pact he finally sees his other best friend for what she is, a beautiful woman that he can’t stop fantasizing about.  Natalie, realizes she wants to not be lonely anymore.  But, when Jack sets her up with one of his bartenders she can’t keep her eyes off of Cam.  As Cam and Natalie finally begin to realize they both want more than just friends there is that pact and their friendship on the line.  Can they take the jump or will they continue to watch the other from the sidelines?

This was a great sexy read.  The slow burn of Cam and Natalie’s love story really made it feel realistic and not just another story with steamy sex scenes.  I love a good friends to lovers story.  This felt so much more though.  Cam and Natalie felt like this had been building up to this moment for such a long time they just couldn’t see it.  Kendall Ryan does a phenomenal job in creating a story and characters that you truly enjoy and can’t put down until they finally get their happily ever after.  If you are looking for the next good romance you need to pick this one up.  You won’t regret it for a moment.

Review: Timid by Devney Perry

Willa Doon has always been shy. Her quiet demeanor was something she’s always embraced. That is, until Jackson Page moves to town. The one man she desperately wants to take notice struggles to remember her name.

Year after year, Willa stands by, watching as the bartender slash playboy drowns his demons in beer and sex. Then one night, he shows up at her door, suddenly aware that the girl he’s seen around Lark Cove is now a beautiful woman.

Except what he doesn’t remember is that this visit isn’t his first. They spent a night together once before. A night he’s forgotten, thanks to a bottle of tequila.

A night that crushed a timid girl’s heart, and set a broken man on the path to heal them both.

Review:

Willa Doon has swooned over Jackson Page from the moment she saw him 9 years ago.  She has never been bold and Jackson has always looked through her.  But, when one night changes everything Willa has so much hope.  Only to be dashed by Jackson the next day.  Jackson can’t believe he’s never truly noticed Willa until he saw Thea’s drawing of her.  He knows she has been haunting his dreams and he needs to know her.  What he doesn’t expect is that Willa has given up on him and wants nothing to do with him.  Jackson will have to work for her heart.  When he finally gets it will he break it because of fear or will he embrace what could be?

Oh my goodness!  This book was phenomenal.  I couldn’t put it down.  It will make you swoon and completely fall in love with Willa and Jackson’s love story.  It truly is an epic one.  Willa really comes into her own.  She is a very timid and shy character.  Though the depths that she has is shown when she finally fights for what she wants.  Jackson is no longer the playboy.  He is so much more.  These two are a love story that anyone would give to have.  It feels real and true.  With this also comes great side characters.  We get to have Hazel, Thea, Logan and Charlie back.  We also get to meet Willa’s parents who are definitely people anyone would want to have in their lives.  Devney Perry does it again.  She manages to leave you speechless with the power of the emotions she writes.  I can’t wait for the next book in this series.  Lark Cove has easily become one of my favorite contemporary romance series.  If you need to fall in love, pick up this series.  You will be swooning and begging for more.

Excerpt:

I scooched my chair in toward the table, trying to put a little more space between Jackson and me, but he wasn’t having it.

He put both hands on the back of my chair, then leaned in close. “Hi, Willa.”

“Uh . . . hi.” I shivered at the heat from his chest on my bare shoulders.

Why was he standing so close? My parents were right there. Our table was one of four tall, square ones in the center of the room and there was plenty of space between tables.

Plenty. P-L-E-N-T-Y.

But was Jackson using any of that plentiful space?

No sirree. He stayed pressed against the back of my chair, like there were only three inches of usable space behind him, not three feet.

My skin prickled he was so close. I tried to nudge my chair forward again but it barely moved. Sweat beaded on my temples and I pulled in a shaking breath.

Jackson’s woodsy, rich scent was everywhere. It overpowered the stale beer, pizza and peanuts, and I inhaled a deep breath, unable to resist.

Sexy Hot Forest. That’s what they’d call his cologne.

Review: Kiss the Girl by Tara Sivec

I am so happy to bring to you the final book in the Naughty Princess Club series.  Ariel’s story is everything we wanted it to be.  It is laugh out loud funny.  Incredibly witty dialogue and characters you will never forget will make this one book you won’t want to put down.  For my full review, keep reading after the book blurb.  I guarantee if you haven’t picked up this series yet, you will want to do that immediately.

38492048Book Blurb:

A struggling antiques collector finds herself falling in love with a millionaire playboy; but can she ever be a part of his world?

Meet the Naughty Princess Club, a series from USA Today bestselling author Tara Sivec that brings readers to Fairytale Lane and the hilarity—and romance—that three women fall into once they decide to strut their stuff and bring on their own happily ever after.

While her friends have broken free of their insecurities, Ariel Waters is struggling to come out of her shell. Her ex-husband took away her voice and her self-confidence, and Ariel is drowning under a sea of debt to afford the alimony she has to pay him. She refuses to ever fall for a man’s charms again, and is determined to make her own way.

When her house and her beloved antiques are taken by the bank after too many missed payments, Ariel finds herself adrift until the infuriatingly charming Eric Sailor comes to her rescue. Although she can’t stand the millionaire playboy, Eric’s kindness and unconditional support reveal hidden depths and a love that Ariel never imagined she could find.

But there are outside influences who will stop at nothing to keep them apart; can Ariel and Eric weather the storm and find a way to be together?

Review:

Ariel’s life is crumbling down around her.  The one person there to help pick up the pieces is the most annoyingly handsome man she’s ever met.  Ariel doesn’t ever want to rely on a man again.  All Eric wants to do is help her get back on her feet and show her that all men aren’t like the one that destroyed her self confidence.  Ariel fights her feelings tooth and nail but those dimples and his hairless cat wears her down.  Will Ariel finally become the naughty princess that she’s always been or will her fear hold her down for good?

I LOVED THIS BOOK!  Ariel was always my favorite character in this series.  Her book did not disappoint.  Ariel and Eric are the perfect duo.  She is so rough around the edges and though you think at first Eric is just a shallow guy but he is so much more.  The banter between the two of them is priceless.  It is truly some of the best work by Tara Sivec.  She is the queen of laugh out loud dialogue that only a few people would actually say out loud.  Ariel reminds me of the characters in her Chocolate Lovers series.  She doesn’t hold anything back.  In the end, Ariel is so much more than just the bawdy, no-holds bar chick.  She has a heart…though if she were here she’d definitely stab me in the throat for saying that.  Overall, I will miss this series terribly.  I can’t wait to see what Tara Sivec comes up with next.

Reviews: The Perfect Duet (Left Side of Perfect and Right Side of Forever) by Meghan Quinn

The Left Side Of Perfect – Release Day – August 30

For better or for worse,’til death do us part . . .

The better captured me; she’s who stole my heart.

And made me realize I couldn’t live without this woman.

The worse of her took my breath away–kicked me when I was down and twisted me into a million knots.

When I first met her, I thought she was someone I would never see again.

The second time I ran into her, it was a random coincidence.

The third?

I didn’t know it at the time, but she was the girl I was going to marry.

But life isn’t always perfect. You have to take the better and the worse–even if it means giving her up, having her slip between your fingers, and letting her walk away.

I’m getting married.

This is forever, ’til death do us part.

Review:

Colby doesn’t think he will ever find the one woman he could live without.  He definitely doesn’t expect to enjoy himself when he attends his best friend and ex-girlfriend’s wedding.  Ryan is determined to get the stuffy Colby to loosen up and have a good time.  Even if that means getting plastered and getting close to making a fool out of herself.  What they don’t expect is to have a connection with each other and one steamy night.  The next time Colby and Ryan see each other is when they are both in new situations.  Colby and Ryan grow even closer as friends but what happens when one wants more and the other is in a happy relationship?

I am now huge Meghan Quinn fan.  The Leftside of Perfect was an addictive, funny, exciting and heartwrenching read.  Colby and Ryan are intense and complicated characters.  So very familiar and broken characters.  As Colby and Ryan find themselves longing and finding what they think is happiness, they soon discover together that happiness isn’t what they think it is.  The banter back and forth between them is funny, intense with a touch of the soul deep emotions that make a romance so good to read.  Meghan Quinn manages to pull the reader in immediately.  You connect with the story and both the main characters and their friends.  This book ends in one heck of a heart breaking cliff hanger but I guarantee you will want to pick up the next book immediately.  I am definitely a card carrying Meghan Quinn fan now!

The Right Side Of Forever – Release Day August 31

In sickness and in health, to love and to cherish . . .

It sounds so simple, to love someone unconditionally.

To give them your heart.

So why is she slowly eating away at my soul with every unanswered phone call, every unread text, and every door left unopened?

She said yes, and yet, in order for her to be with me . . . I need to let her go.

Review:

Colby is well onto his way to his very own happily ever after.  Ryan is left drifting.  She must swallow all of her feelings and help plan her best friend and his fiancee’s wedding.  As they get closer to the big day, the tension between them becomes too much and Ryan knows she must go.  What Colby doesn’t expect is when he is away who he misses the most.  The one person he should be desperate to see isn’t the one who plagues his thoughts and dreams.  Will a happily ever after ever happen for Colby or Ryan?

This is a fantastic part two of this duet.  The Right Side of Forever picks up exactly where we left off.  Colby and Ryan’s relationship begins to slowly disintegrate.   A person can only hide and protect themselves for so long.  Colby and Ryan begin to learn this horrible truth.  Neither Colby or Ryan want to hurt each other or their friends.  They really begin to see who they really want in their lives.  I adored how well Meghan Quinn wrote these two characters and their soul deep turmoil.  Their are moments of intense sexiness, sorrow and happiness.  You will laugh and cry with each turn of the page.  Meghan Quinn will take you on an emotional roller coaster that won’t let you go even as you turn the last page.  Her story writing is phenomenal.  I truly miss these characters after reading these books.  I do however hope to see some of them again.

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

Review: Blood Cure by K.A Linde

Today, I get to bring to you the final book in the fantastic paranormal trilogy by K.A Linde.  If you are looking for your next vampire story you need to pick this trilogy up stat.  For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.

Book Blurb:

She had the world on her shoulders. Now she has nothing.

Reyna Carpenter was twenty-one when she became a live-in blood escort for the ruthless and darkly handsome vampire Beckham Anderson. She thought this was just a small price to pay for feeding her brothers back home.

But nothing went as planned. Not even her tumultuous relationship with Beckham. And now she wonders if anything will ever be the same again.

As she finds herself in the midst of a losing rebellion, she and her trusted friends must flee from a city conquered by the vampire elite. With their plans blown to pieces and everything they knew and loved gone, their future hangs in the balance.

Despite all she has lost, Reyna must rise from the ashes, reclaim the life that was stolen—and complete her mission, once and for all.

Review:

Reyna has faced the worst that can happen to her.  She knows that she must pull herself together.  The rebels are scattered and those still together need a leader.  As Reyna pulls together those who still want equality, her own heart and her family she knows its not over till they rid the world of the evil that has plagued their world.  With every twist and turn, they get closer to their goal, but at what cost?

This was a fantastic finish to this trilogy.  I am sad to see this trilogy finish.  This book takes up exactly where we left off in the previous blood type book.  Reyna’s character takes leaps in the book.  As with all great endings, questions are answered, people are met and people we love die.  K.A Linde takes the reader on the final journey with this book.  We get to get a satisfying end that will still leave us wanting more because we don’t want to let this world and its characters go.  Deep down I know this is the end but I could easily see more coming from these characters and K.A Linde’s phenomenal paranormal romance.  I look forward to see what she comes up with next.

Review: When Light Leads to You by C.S Ellis

Title: WHEN LIGHT LEADS TO YOU

Author: C.R. Ellis

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About WHEN LIGHT LEADS TO YOU

JASMINE
Once upon a time, there was a girl who had a crush on a boy. Eventually, they fell in love. They lived happily ever after.

Except they didn’t. Not even close.
I’m the girl, but that’s not my story.

Once upon a time, I fell for a boy, but we didn’t have a happily ever after. In fact, we crashed and burned. Which turned out to be for the best because it forced me to grow up and realize the only wedding bells in my future are the ones I orchestrate for clients.

For six years I’ve been perfectly content with meaningless, short-lived flings and running from anything that resembles a real relationship.

That boy?
He’s my best friend’s brother, and he’s no longer the boy I fell for—he’s a man I can’t stand.

Oh, and he’s also my new neighbor.

DEAN
Seemingly overnight, Jasmine Winters went from being my sister’s best friend to being the girl I couldn’t get enough of. But like most good things, it didn’t last.

Things fell apart so suddenly, I’m able to convince myself that summer never happened. At least, I was, until the only distance between us is a hallway instead of a time zone.

Six years ago, I let Jasmine slip through my fingers without an explanation because I was convinced we’d be better off apart. But now that we’re neighbors, our unspoken vow of apathy has unwittingly been shattered. Our exchanges consist of trading insults and icy stare downs. But in-between, I catch glimpses of the way she used to look at me, glimpses of the girl I fell for years ago.

Things are different now, though. This time… I won’t let her walk away without giving me answers.

When Light Leads to You is the second full-length novel of the Forget Me Knot series, but can be read as a standalone. **Due to strong language and the sexy times between these two, this book is recommended to readers ages 18 and up.**

Review:

Jasmine’s worst nightmare is currently living across the hall from her.  The one man who single-handedly created the woman she is lives there.  He also happens to be her best friend’s brother.  With Dean back in town she can’t avoid all contact with him.  Everything she does seems to pull him closer instead of apart.  When Jasmine and Dean finally confront their past will they be able to finally see a future together or will their pasts come back to destroy everything they have?

I thought I loved Jade and Emmett when I read Why the Stars chase the Sun, Jasmine and Dean have them beat hands down.  They are the epitome of sexual tension.  They fight their attraction tooth and nail.  When they finally succumb to their passion it will literally make your kindle steam up.  Their history and misconceived slights caused so much pain and that is felt through out the book.  What is spectacular is how they learn to get around it.  This book just like the previous one kept me glued to each page until the end.  The push and pull will have the reader staying up late to find out if they really do get their happily ever after.

Review: Respect by Jay Crownover

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jay Crownover, comes the next title in her The Breaking Point romantic suspense series, RESPECT. Don’t miss the amazing tour below, and order your copy today!

About RESPECT:

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess who called a corrupt kingdom home sweet home.

Protected and sheltered from the worst the world had to offer, she fell in love with the crumbling city that burned and blazed around her. Every dirty corner, every scary shadow, found a place within her heart. So did a man who was violent and dangerous, just like the streets she claimed as her own.

He was all business and brutality, except when it came to her. With her, he was calm, caring, and heartbreakingly patient.

He warned her over and over that he wasn’t the man for her, but she refused to listen. She never expected either the streets or their enforcer to hurt her, since she’d given her heart so completely to both.

She should have known the streets in the Point were always going to be savage, and so was the man committed to keeping control of them in the hands of criminals and bloody kingpins.

Blindsided by a betrayal which cut so deeply she was sure the wounds would never heal, the princess fled the home she loved and the man who broke her heart. Throwing away her rusted, twisted crown was supposed to help her forget. All it did was make her long for everything she left behind. She told herself she would never go back, but in this tormented kingdom, family is everything. Eventually, she has no choice but to return.

While she was gone, the people who loved her worked hard to make the city safe, and the man who destroyed her sank deeper into the darkness. Going back shouldn’t feel like surrender… but it does. As this pretty princess hovers on the edge of the unknown, the past attacks with a vengeance. It’s a good reminder that puppy love eventually grows up and turns into something with sharp teeth and one hell of a bite.

She never asked for the keys to the kingdom. She’d much rather go out and build her own.

Review:

Karsen has loved Booker since she was 16.  When Booker broke her heart she went to college and never thought about The Point if she didn’t have to.  Now, college is over and she is going back.  The one person she doesn’t ever expect to see shows up at her door and all hell breaks lose.  Booker knows this is his last chance to finally have what he’s always wanted with Karsen.  Can the two of them survive their pasts, their pain and those who do all they can to keep them apart?  Can they have a happily ever after in a place like The Point?

Jay Crownover never ceases to amaze me with her incredible writing talent.  Karsen and Booker are just as tough as the other characters from The Point.  Their story was so very poignant though.  All of the Breaking Point books have a level of heartache to them, but Karsen and Booker never had a chance to begin before they were forced apart.  It is truly what makes their love story so very addictive.  Booker is a prominent figure in both The Point and Breaking Point books so for this horribly damaged man to get his happily ever after was the perfect ending to this series.  We get to see many of the characters we have fallen in love with in previous books with one final hurrah.  Like all of Jay Crownover’s books we have steamy sexy times, drama, suspense, unlikely heroes and those who love them.  Karsen and Booker were two of the best.  They are memorable and so is their story.  It is heartbreaking to say goodbye to these characters but I look forward to what Jay Crownover will do next.

Excerpt:

~Karsen~

Today I was finally old enough to have him.

Best. Birthday. Present. Ever.

It wasn’t uncommon for me to bop down to Booker’s place. He even left the door unlocked most days so I could get in. We lived in a fortress that had more eyes in the sky than a casino in Vegas, so he didn’t need to worry about simple things like locked doors. My crush on the behemoth of a man was pretty much common knowledge all around. Booker tended to treat me like I was an annoying kid sister. But there were times, when no one else was around, I could tell he was looking at me differently. He was hard to read, something that kept you alive in these parts. But I spent so much time watching him, I could see what no one else could. Those steely eyes softened, melted into a soft dove gray when he looked at me while no one else was paying any attention.

I glanced up at the camera that I knew was tracking my every move. I gave a little wave to whomever was monitoring the feed tonight. Race’s security guys were a part of my everyday life. Where I went, they followed. It was sort of like having an army of overprotective big brothers. Annoying yet necessary. It was a good thing I was obsessed with Booker. Having eyes only for him over the last few years meant I didn’t bring boys home to meet the family. I was pretty sure trying to date a guy my own age would have been impossible with those eagle-eyed brutes hanging around.

The butterflies in my stomach started sword fighting the closer I got to Booker’s door. I spent a lot of time making goo-goo eyes at the giant man and aimlessly trying to make conversation with him. He was too cold and reserved to attempt any harmless flirting, and I was always very aware of the line in the sand where Booker was concerned. He tolerated my infatuation and presence, but he always made it clear he was humoring me. He was the one who often reminded me there was a big, wide world out there, ripe for the picking. He told me I should never settle. However, when I tried to explain the only thing I was dying to experience was him, he diverted the conversation and pointedly told me that I was way too young for him. He also believed I was way too nice. He didn’t talk about his past, or his time in prison, but I had a feeling that wherever Noah Booker had been before made the Point look like Sesame Street.

When I was in front of the door, I took a second to make sure my white-blonde hair was smooth and sleek. I ran my tongue over the front of my teeth to make sure none of the plum-colored lip gloss was stuck to the surface. I wiped my hands down the front of my black skinny jeans, the ones that made my admittedly long legs look even longer and took a deep breath. It was now or never.

Today was the day.

Review: A Date for Hannah by Callie Henry

Today I get to bring to you a very sweet young love story.  This is definitely a story for anyone who has felt crumby when they went to high school.  You will get drawn into this story just like a hallmark movie.  For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.

40660081Book Blurb:

High-schooler, Hannah, has always been self-conscious about her weight, so when hottie swimmer, Liam, pays her extra attention at her sister’s wedding, she has a hard time trusting his interest. Throughout the evening, Liam’s charm wins her over, until they’re falling hard for each other. But the next day, Hannah learns something that may ruin it all.

Review:

Hannah wasn’t looking forward to being the only person her age at her sister’s wedding.  Though she is happy for her sister she doesn’t expect to have an enjoyable time.  That is until Liam steps into her world.  Liam was only supposed to be a good companion for Hannah.  He didn’t expect to feel the way he does.  Can these two really fall in love after only knowing each other a few hours?  Will Hannah be able to get past what she learns about Liam?

This was such a sweet story.  It is a fairly short book but it sucks you in from page one.  Hannah and Liam are two very different teenagers, but you can feel the connection the two of them have within pages of them meeting.  This is definitely a quick love story, but it doesn’t have steam to it.  There is no sex but some very hot kissing that will send every inner teenager swooning.  If you are looking for a good sweet read this is definitely go to.  You won’t regret picking this book up.

Review: Dating Trilogy by Alexandra Bishop

THE DATING TRILOGY is finally COMPLETE! Read the entire series from beginning to end now!

About DATING IN THE DARK

Call center girl by day and…this is the part where I say I do something super mysterious and exotic by night. Yeah not so much.

With the big 3-0 looming its ugly head around the corner my best friend and my married and very pregnant sister have decided that I need a life. One that includes the opposite sex. Or else continue on, and become the old spinster they say I am.

It was all in jest until they set me up with a blind date. Literally.

Speed dating. In the dark. With a stranger. What were they thinking?

Fifteen minutes, that’s all you get to find the man of your dreams. Oh yeah, that’ll go over about as well as a nun in a strip club.

Playing along might not be so bad. Besides, what’s the worst that could happen? It’s not like I’ll actually end up falling in love.

Review:

What can go wrong with speed dating in the dark?  A lot actually.  Tinley is a lowly call center girl by day and a lonely woman at night.  When her friends sign her up for a dating in the dark event she doesn’t have high hopes.  Her assumption is correct until her final date of the evening.  She doesn’t expect the fireworks or the connection in a 15 min conversation.  When she finally meets her speed dating prince charming she is floored and cannot believe who it is.  As she opens her heart to him, she soon realizes she doesn’t know him at all and he can break her heart with one action.

I really enjoyed this book.  I was a bit skeptical of the premise but as I got into the story I really started to love Tinley and Marek.  She is relatable in her insecurity and he is the epitome of why you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.  Their love story was fun and full of drama.  As their story deepens so do the chances they take.  When one mistake will alter their lives forever so will the one secret he is keeping.  Alexandria Bishop does a top notch job in drawing in the reader with her first book in this trilogy.

About SINKING IN THE SHADOWS

The Dating Trilogy continues with Sinking in the Shadows…

She wasn’t looking for love.
She wasn’t looking for a happily ever after.
But Dating in the Dark gave her both.

Or so she thought.

Now with a broken heart and an unexpected surprise she doesn’t know if she’ll ever find her way back to both again.

Sinking in the Shadows is the second book in The Dating Trilogy and should be read after Dating in the Dark. Tinley and Marek’s story concludes in Loving in the Light.

Review:

Tinley is heartbroken.  Marek lied and now it was over. She knew things with him were too good to be true.  Who really finds love at a speed dating event? When love is at stake is it really over when the other person won’t let go?  Can Tinley find her way back to him even while she is harboring her own secret?

In this second installment of this addictive trilogy, we find Tinley heartbroken over Marek’s lie.  She is hiding her own secret that she can only tell her sister.  As she tries to move on, she can’t help but cling to the idea of Marek.  Tinley is still such a relatable character.  Every woman has questioned herself because a loved one has let them down or hurt them.  She realizes what she really wants in her life and what she has to do to get there.  We are left wondering will they get their happily ever after or will life crumble all around them.

About LOVING IN THE LIGHT

The Dating Trilogy concludes with Loving in the Light…

He came into her life when she least expected it. Stopping her from watching her life pass her by to loving every minute of it.

She got everything she didn’t know she wanted but now it’s all being threatened.

Now she’s left in a world of uncertainty with more questions than answers.

Loving in the Light is the third and final book in The Dating Trilogy. It should be read after Dating in the Dark and Sinking in the Shadows.

Review:

Marek has become so important to Tinley she doesn’t know if she can ever live without him.  As she faces that possibility, she must do everything she can to keep herself and those around her together.  Can Tinley and Marek finally have their HEA?  Or will the world have another plan and separate them forever?

This was a great ending to this trilogy.  All of the questions are answered and everything you want to know is put into this final book.  Tinley and Marek’s story concludes the way it began on a sweet and dramatic way.  I am hoping that another book with Marek’s sister, Giselle, will be headed our way or with Tinley’s best friend, Dakota.  There is a lot more to this group of people then we have seen.  If my previous reviews, have enticed you then you need to pick this trilogy up today.  Believe me, when you pick up the first book you won’t want to put it down until you’ve read the final page of the third book.

Review: Four Day Fling by Emma Hart

Today I get to bring to you the newest rom-com from Emma Hart.  Emma Hart does her magic on a hockey player and the girl who doesn’t realize he is a hockey superstar.  It was supposed to only be four days, but in the end will they be more?  This book comes at the perfect time for summer readers.  For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.

FourdayflingBlurb:

A standalone romantic comedy of epically awkward proportions, from New York Times bestselling author, Emma Hart.

Imagine this. You’re ready to leave after a one-night stand, and you’re figuring out how to—shock horror—leave your number and ask him to be your fake boyfriend for your sister’s wedding this weekend. When he wakes up. Well, that happened to me. And over coffee and omelets, I found myself a date.

Which was how I ended up arriving at the wedding with a guy I knew nothing about. I didn’t know his last name, or how we met, or how long we’d been dating. I didn’t know where he grew up, what he’d majored in in college, or how many siblings he had. I sure as hell didn’t know he was Adam Winters, hotshot hockey player—and not only my father’s favorite player, but my little nephew’s freakin’ idol. Which means I’m in trouble. Big, big trouble. My mother is suspicious, my sister is bridezilla on crack, and my grandpa will tell anyone who’ll listen about his time in Amsterdam’s Red Light District. Four days. I have to keep this up for four days, and then Adam and I can return to our regular lives, where we don’t have sex whenever we’re alone and my family aren’t interrogating him over his intentions with me.

At least, that’s the plan. And we all know what happens to those

Review:

Waking up next to the sexy stranger from last night was a good feeling for Poppy.  As she tries to sneak out, she debates on asking him to be her date for her sister’s wedding.  She knows that her family is crazy and bringing him should quiet her mom’s insistence on her love life.   What she doesn’t expect is for him to agree to it?  What she really doesn’t plan on is this stranger isn’t a stranger to everyone.  He is a famous hockey star and her family are hockey fanatics.  All Poppy has to do is survive her sister’s wedding, deal with her mom, have hot sex with her fling and then go back to living her life.  Easy right?

This is another goal (hockey pun intended) by Emma Hart.  Poppy and Adam are laugh out loud funny.  Their romance is so sweet even with Poppy fighting it all the way.  Poppy’s family is one of the best parts of this book.  They are equal parts funny, lush and caring.  Adam manages to take all of this in stride.  This is especially true when it comes to Poppy’s mother.  He plays the perfect fake boyfriend.  Poppy is outrageous, wears scandalous (to her mother) clothing and fights her attraction to Adam.  When their four days is over is when the real drama begins.  It is fun seeing these two complete opposites fall in love.  Emma Hart can write a feisty heroine and the sexy man that loves them.  If you are looking for that perfect beach book, you need to pick this book up today.  I guarantee you will not want to put it down.
