Review: Royally Yours by Emma Chase

Today I get to bring to you a great novel by the phenomenal Emma Chase.  This is the fourth book in her Royally series.  Every dynasty has a beginning and this is Lenora and Edwards story.  This was a really great book.  It has a lot of emotion that will definitely bring tears to your eyes.  For my full review, keep reading after the book blurb.  Happy Book Birthday to Royally Yours!

Princess Lenora Celeste Beatrice Arabella Pembrook had an unusual childhood. She was raised to be a Queen—the first Queen of Wessco.

It’s a big deal.

When she’s crowned at just nineteen, the beautiful young monarch is prepared to rule. She’s charming, clever, confident and cunning.

What she isn’t… is married.

It’s her advising council’s first priority. It’s what Parliament is demanding, and what her people want.

Lenora has no desire to tie herself to a man—particularly one who only wants her for her crown. But compromises must be made and royals must do their duty.

Even Queens. Especially them.

**

Years ago, Edward Langdon Richard Dorian Rourke, walked away from his title and country. Now he’s an adventurer—climbing mountains, exploring jungles, going wherever he wants, when he wants—until family devotion brings him home.

And a sacred promise keeps him there.

To Edward, the haughty, guarded little Queen is intriguing, infuriating…and utterly captivating. Wanting her just might drive him mad—or become his greatest adventure.

**

Within the cold, stone walls of the royal palace—mistrust threatens, wills clash, and an undeniable, passionate love will change the future of the monarchy forever.

Every dynasty has a beginning. Every legend starts with a story.

This is theirs.

Review:

Princess Lenora has been raised to be the first Queen of Wessco.  But, when it is her turn to take the reigns all her advisors and parliament want is her to get married.  Edward gave up on court life.  He has no drive to be anything but an adventurer.  That is until his brother asks him to come home to take back over.  His brother also has another request…marry the queen.  Lenora and Edward are like oil and water.  Until they finally give each other a chance.  Can a true love story come from an arranged marriage or will Edward flee the life that he desperately hates?

I loved this book.  This is the first in the series that I have read and now I really want to go back and read all the previous books.  This is technically the prequel that starts the family.  Lenora and Edwards love story, though non-traditional, becomes quite epic.  Emma Chase was able to bring all of the heart-wrenching emotions into this book.  You will laugh, cry and swoon before you finish the last chapter.  this is a story that sucks you in and won’t let you go.  I still have a book hang over from this epic love story.  If you are like me and haven’t picked up this series yet, then run out and pick up this fantastically written series that will leave you swooning.
