Review: Until Ashlyn by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Meet Ashlyn & Dillon in Until Ashlyn.

Dillon Keck knew Ashlyn Mayson was drunk when she suggested they get married. He knew he should have taken her back to their hotel room and put her to bed. Instead, he did what he had been craving to do since the moment they met.

Claim her as his.

Waking up married in Vegas isn’t something Ashlyn Mayson ever thought would happen to her. Having Dillon, her boss, a man she thinks is a dick, insist they stay married is absurd, but every time he touches her, she gets lost in him and wonders if maybe they are meant to be together.

But someone isn’t happy for Dillon and Ashlyn and their new found romance, and they’re willing to do anything to keep them apart. Even commit murder.

From the moment Ashlyn runs into Dillon the very first time she knows that she is unbelievably attracted to him.  That is until she talks to him.  She realizes he’s bossy, arrogant and she can’t stand him.  When she has to go to Vegas with him for a conference she doesn’t plan on having to share a room with him let alone ending up married to him.  But after she wakes up from being trashed the night before she finds him in her bed and his ring on her finger.  Can they figure out their future even as a threat is trying to pull them permanently?

I loved this book.  Dillon is such an alpha.  He doesn’t take no for an answer.  He also doesn’t accept they are going to get divorced or they are living in separate places.  Ashlyn was fun too.  She is pretty tough with Dillon but like a lot of female characters in books similar to this her attraction makes her forget any negative feelings she may have.  I would say that is only real critical thing I have about these types of books.  I loved the story and their feelings for one another.  Overall, this is a great romance and a fun story that anyone who likes a good romance will love this book.

Review: Bad Billionaires After Dark: Dylan by Melissa Foster

It’s the release week blitz for BAD BILLIONAIRES AFTER DARK: DYLAN by Melissa Foster. Check it out and grab your copy today!

About Bad Billionaires After Dark: Dylan:

Bad Billionaires After Dark are a series of stand-alone hot and sexy romances.

Indulge your inner vixen with these sexy billionaires!

Meet the Bad Boys… Four fiercely loyal, sinfully sexy, uber alpha brothers, about to fall head over heels for their leading ladies.

Everything’s naughtier after dark…

Sinfully sexy bar owner Dylan Bad has a thing for needy women. He’s a savior, a knight in shining armor, and his mighty talented sword has no trouble bringing damsels in distress to their knees. Enter Tiffany Winters, a gorgeous cutthroat sports agent who looks like sex on legs, f**ks like she’s passion personified, and wouldn’t let a man help her if she were dangling from a ledge and he was her only hope. One night and too much tequila might change their lives forever. The question is, will either one survive?

Tiffany’s career is everything to her.  She has no time for relationships.  She has time for one night stands.  When she meets Dylan she knows he would be a great next one night stand.  Dylan has other plans.  Once he has Tiffany he knows he wants more than one night.  He knows he has a long road ahead to convince her she wants more.  As the two of them grow closer they discover things about themselves they didn’t know was there.  But, as they discover these new depths can they survive how these will change them?

I’m still swooning from Dylan.  He was one of the best characters.  He is truly the ideal man most women would want. I think Tiffany was a very genuine independent character.  The two of these were good compliments once they admitted the hidden depths they have.  The story was a great mix of romance and steam.  Your ereader will catch fire between their naughtiness and their romance.  You will fall over from Dylan’s sweetness but will want that alpha in your bed.  All around this was a wonderfully addictive story that will leave you panting for more.

Exclusive Excerpt:

WITH HER PHONE pressed to her ear, Tiffany Winters ducked out of the rain and into the Kiss, an eclectic Manhattan bar, to return calls and take care of a mountain of text messages that had piled up during her dinner meeting. She listened to her client’s wife explain why she didn’t want her husband traveling too often to endorse a hotel chain Tiffany was planning on pitching to him next week. Her client had already nixed any mention of his family in the advertisements, and reducing his travel would make it an even harder sell.

“I hear your concern, Allison,” she said as she sat on a barstool. “If you and Matt decide this isn’t the right thing for your family, we’ll turn our efforts in another direction.” As a sports agent, dealing with significant others was part of the job, a part Tiffany enjoyed and other agents rued. Sure, some wives assumed their husband’s success granted them the power to be overly demanding. Ass kissing was part of the game. Sometimes she wished she could give the meeker wives lessons in how to be tough. Teach them to have balls as big as their husbands’ and come right out and say what they meant instead of beating around the bush with bullshit hypotheticals. She reminded herself often that not every woman grew up in a testosterone-laden house with two competitive older brothers and a father who won the Heisman in college and went on to play pro sports—a house where mincing words didn’t cut the mustard.

“You missed the wedding.”

The deep male voice drew Tiffany’s attention from her phone call to the fine specimen of a man standing behind the bar. He looked like he’d just stepped off a Hot Guys in Suits Pinterest page. His tie hung loosely around the collar of his white dress shirt, which was open three buttons deep, revealing a smattering of dark chest hair, a rarity nowadays, when so many men manscaped every inch of their bodies. Tiffany preferred a man to look like a man, which included hair in all the right places. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, exposing heavily corded forearms, and his jacket hung casually from two fingers over his left shoulder. Her fingers itched to send the last few buttons—and that jacket—flying to the floor. The guy’s chiseled jaw and dark eyes were movie-star classic, and his dark hair was thick enough to hang on to. She’d had a long, hard day, and he looked like he could provide a long, hard, pleasure-filled night.

Holding his gaze, she spoke into the phone as he laid his jacket across the bar, giving her the impression he wasn’t the bartender, but rather a guest who’d happened to wander back there. “Allison, I’ll see what else I can come up with and get back to you. Right. Okay, hon. Thank you.” After ending the call, she responded to the stud behind the bar. “Wedding? Who gets married at a bar?”

“My brother, for one.” He nodded across the room to a group of men and women who were holding their glasses up in a toast.

She zeroed in on one she recognized as her tall, dark colleague. “Mick Bad is married?” The high-powered attorney was a workaholic like her, and he’d been unattached two months earlier, when they’d worked together on a deal for one of her clients. She’d never understand couples who claimed to fall in love practically overnight. Love was a crutch for weak people who needed someone else to lean on. Except Mick Bad had never needed anyone to lean on. She wondered if his new bride was pregnant.

“The one and only.” Hot guy’s eyes took a long, luxurious stroll down her body, lingered on her breasts, then roamed north, hovering around her mouth, before finally meeting her gaze. He flashed a wolfish grin full of sinful promises.

“Dylan Bad at your service.”

Pushing thoughts of her newly married colleague’s expedient nuptials aside, she focused on his very available brother. A definite player, which was fine with her. She had no time—or interest—in anything but a quick hookup, and the six-two or -three stud had already shot to the top of tonight’s fantasy list.

“What’s your pleasure?” he asked with more than a hint of innuendo.

You. Naked, with your head buried between my legs, to start.

“Surprise me.” She watched him turn to prepare her drink and checked out the way his dark slacks hugged his perfect ass. It had been a long time since she’d found a man this attractive. But Mick Bad’s brother? That spelled trouble.

Review: Unexpected by K.G Fletcher

Unexpected by KG Fletcher is stopping by today for the blog tour. Check out this great new contemporary romance and grab your copy today!

About Unexpected:

Recently jilted Josephine Davis wasn’t looking for love…. A chance encounter along the sweltering highway with Atlanta’s own millionaire bachelor changed all that. Devastatingly handsome and full of unexpected talents, William Prescott Harrington, III shows beautiful Josie a life that she could have only dreamed of; his excessive wealth and generosity eventually threatening her very existence. Two star-crossed lovers from polar opposite sides of Atlanta navigate their way through a maze of greed and jealousy desperate for only one thing – each other.

Her heart made a wish. Will her dream become reality or will the nightmare destroy them all?

The last thing Josephine was looking for was love.  So, when a car runs her off the road effectively making her get a flat tire she doesn’t expect what happens next.  William is the most unexpected person she ever thought to meet.  Let alone begin a relationship so soon after being jilted.  As their relationship grows so do the hidden dangers they both have.  When Josephine’s life is endangered they will truly learn how important they are to each other.

This was a fantastic romantic suspense novel.  I normally don’t like the quick love stories.  I tend to find them unbelievable.  I even had to put this book down because of it.  But, when I picked it back up I completely fell in love with the story.  Josephine and William really grew on me.  K.G Fletcher’s ability to weave a quick moving love story that is laced with suspense and mystery is phenomenal.  All around this is one story that I didn’t want to put down.  I definitely wanted more when I finished the last page.  Overall, if you like romance and suspense this is one book you won’t want to skip.

Review: Room Service by Poppy Dunne

Happy Sunday!  Today I get to bring a sexy story full of fun and steamy sex.  This is definitely a book that will have you dying to find out what will happen next.  For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.

c3aeb-image1Book Blurb:

I’ve spent seven nights cooped up in this five star hotel, sleeping on 1000 thread count sheets and working sixteen hours a day. At least room service is covered under my expense account. But all work and no play leaves a girl dateless for her brother’s wedding.

Prospects aren’t totally bleak, though. Four meals a day, I get to drool over this sexy room service guy: he’s got a perfect body, easy smile, and a sense of humor that has me snorting over my personal pizza. He’s all that and a bag of chips. Specifically, the jumbo bag of ranch barbecue chips that I ordered for breakfast out of desperation on Day Four.

I finally found the courage to ‘accidentally’ let my bathrobe slip, and ask him to be my plus one at my brother’s wedding. So maybe I had to offer him a little money. So what? There’s no way I can face my family, make my ex rue the day he left me, or screw off this work stress without his helping hand.

But what happens when I find myself falling for my fake, paid-for boyfriend? Judging by the comped mozzarella sticks he brought me for breakfast, maybe there’s a chance he’s falling for me too?

Alex has been living in a hotel working hard to secure a band for her boss.  Not only is she working in New York she also has her brother’s wedding.  When her mom tells her that her ex is going to be there she decides she is going to proposition her very sexy room service deliverer.  When Ben agrees to this arrangement he takes Alex off guard.  The two of them have to pull of that they are a couple.  What neither of them bargains for are the feelings that develop between them.  With the secrets between them can something more grow or will they end with the end of the arrangement?

I loved this book.  It was exciting and entertaining.  It had the right amount of spice, sweet and funny.  Alex and Ben are two wonderful characters.  The idea behind the story is unique and fun.  Poppy Dunne is a wonderful storyteller.  Her characters are memorable.  The mix of fun, sexiness and the drama of her family makes such a great story.  Overall, this is one story you won’t be able to put down.  I can’t wait to read another book by Poppy Dunne.

Release Day Review: Sweet Surrender by Liliana Hart

From New York Times Bestselling author Liliana Hart, comes SWEET SURRENDER, a sexy new novella filled with suspense in her MacKenzie Family Series, brought to you by 1,001 Dark Nights! Be sure to grab your copy today!

A brisk March wind blew through Surrender.

“Being a cop doesn’t mean I crave donuts.” Grant Boone glared out the window toward the bakery across the street.

Cooper MacKenzie snorted, “You were a cop.”

Grant’s hands fisted in his lap and his gaze dropped to stare at them as the familiar anger raged through his body. His light brown hair, which was long overdue for a cut, hung down to hide his expression. He knew Cooper hadn’t meant anything by it, but damn, the words still pierced him like a knife to the gut.

“My mistake,” he said. “I was a cop.”

“Come on, Grant. You know I didn’t mean it that way. Hell, you’re still the best there is. Your chief will wake up and realize his screw-up before long. Though I’ve always thought you and the city would clash before too long. Hell, look at you. You look like you walked out of one of those Marlboro commercials. What the hell is a country boy like you doing in Detroit anyway?”

Cooper wasn’t the first person to tell him he didn’t belong in the Motor City. But he’d served the city with a purpose. He’d worked undercover, and he’d been an asset to the force. It wasn’t often they came across a six-foot-five, two-hundred-and-forty-five pound bruiser to work the biker bars and clubs.

“There’s no going back, Coop. I gave that shithole city the best years of my life. And for what? A forced retirement under a cloud of an internal affairs investigation.” Grant set his coffee on the desk and knuckled his eyes. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d slept a full night through. God, was he tired.

It’s been twelve years since Liza Carmichael stepped foot in Surrender, but after her great aunt’s death she has no choice but to return and settle her estate. Which includes the corner bakery that’s been a staple in Surrender for more than fifty years.

After twenty-five years on the job, Lieutenant Grant Boone finds himself at loose ends now that he’s retired. He’s gotten a number of job offers—one from MacKenzie Security—but he’s burned out and jaded, and the last thing he wants to do is carry the burden of another badge and weapon. He almost turns down the invitation from his good friend Cooper MacKenzie to stay as their guest for a few weeks while he’s deciding what to do with the rest of his life. But he packs his bag and heads to Surrender anyway.

The only thing Boone knows is that his future plans don’t include Liza Carmichael. She’s bossy, temperamental, and the confections she bakes are sweet enough to tempt a saint. Thank God he’s never pretended to be one. But after he gets one taste of Liza and things start heating up in the kitchen, he realizes how delicious new beginnings can be.

Liza Carmichael has no intention in staying in Surrender.  The small town is nothing compared to the hustle and bustle of New York City.  When she meets Grant she figures he may be one sexy way to pass the time.  What she doesn’t count on is a crazy woman out to see revenge on him.  Between bullets flying, running through the woods and sexy times in a safe house Liza and Grant start to rethink their plans on the future.  That is if they survive and have one.

This was a very exciting novella.  I loved Liza character.  She was really a crazy character that let how she felt out even if they meant driving her car into a house.  Grant is one sexy hunk of man.  He is definitely a character that any woman would want protecting her and having sexy times with her.  The story was very fast paced and exciting.  Between showers of gun fire, running through the woods and car chases it is a page turner.  I really enjoyed this novella.  This was my first Liliana Hart book but it won’t be my last.  Can’t wait to see what she has up next.

Review: Being Brooke by Emma Hart

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000035_00027]

My name is Brooke Barker…

And I’m a freaking disaster.

No, seriously. I’m a college drop-out working a dead-end job, my best friend Carly’s dog gets more action than I do, and I have more bad dates in my diary than there are movie remakes.

Not to mention I’m completely and utterly in love with Cain Elliott.

The problem? He’s in a relationship. With a girl who’s so plastic she makes Barbie cry herself to sleep with jealousy.

The second problem? He’s my best friend.

My shut-up-and-put-harry-potter, yes-this-is-your-shirt, help-I-have-no-power, crap-I’m-out-of-tampon, kinda best friend.

And that’s all he can be, right?

Being Brooke is a standalone romantic comedy. Hilarious, super-sexy, and possibly highly inappropriate at times, this is the perfect feel-good read!

Brooke is a hot mess.  Her best friends know this and pretty much her whole town.  Her job is a disaster, her love life is non-existent and her new apartment consists of her living out of boxes.  To make matters worse, she is madly in love with her best friend, Cain, and he has no idea.  They have been friends for ever and could never be more.  But, when things start to get complicated between them maybe they could be more than just best friends.  That is if Brooke’s craziness could let her.

I LOVED this book!!  Brooke is hilarious and reminds me of me…a lot.  She doesn’t have much of a filter and is a hot mess.  It isn’t just her though that makes this book great.  Every single character is fantastic.  They all are memorable.  From Cain to Carly to her awesomely crazy grandpa all will have you crying from the laughter you have to hold in unless people around you will think you are crazy.  The story was very sweet and makes you fall in love with Cain just like Brooke.  Overall, if you love the characters from Tara Sivec’s Chocolate lovers series and Charley Davidson from Darynda Jones’ Charley Davidson series you will love Brooke, her life tips and everyone else in Being Brooke.  I hope Emma Hart makes this into a series.  I’d love to see more of Cain’s brothers. You won’t be disappointed when you pick this book up and never let it go.

iBOOKS / B&N /

Cain’s phone begins to buzz on the table. The screen lights up, and the short name on the screen makes me have to fight a frown.
I know it’s Nina. It always is. It’s like she has a Brooke-dar. She can sense whenever Cain and I are alone and hanging out.
My heart sinks, slowly but heavily, and I school my expression into one of not caring. I refuse to look away from the TV now.
Cain hands me his pizza box, which I take, begrudgingly, then he leans forward and grabs his phone. He waits for the buzzing to stop, then unlocks it and turns it off vibrate.
Then? Then he shoves it under the table, screen down.
Ho. Lee. Shit.
I gape at him. I can’t help it.
A piece of pepperoni drops off the slice of pizza in my hand—the same one that’s frozen halfway to my mouth as I stare at him in total disbelief. Did he really just do it?
“What?” Cain shrugs and takes his box back, grabbing a piece of half-eaten, meaty pizza and shoving the end in his mouth. The crust crunches as he bites down.
I swallow and glance at the coffee table. “I don’t think you’ve ever not taken a call from her.” I can’t help the derogatory way I say ’her’. It’s not intentional—honest. It’s ingrained in me to be vicious to other women. I think it’s a female thing. Self-preservation and all that.
“I don’t think I ever haven’t either.” Cain tilts his head to the side and meets my gaze, a suspicious glint in his green eyes. “But the point is, we haven’t done this in weeks, and I’m having too much fun to leave. Besides, we have all this junk food. If I don’t help you eat it, you’ll eat it all, then it’ll be my fault when your pants don’t fit.”
Oh my god.
“Does she know you’re here?” I smirk slyly and raise my eyebrows.
He shifts uncomfortably. With a cough, he puts his pizza down and grabs his beer bottle to swig from it.
Oh. My. Shitty. Life.
“She doesn’t, does she?” I sit up straight, throwing my half-slice back into my box and shoving his shoulder. “Cain!”
“No,” he mumbles, scratching the back of his ear. “She doesn’t know.”
I laugh. I can’t help it. It’s totally immature of me to delight in the fact he hasn’t told the Prissy Princess where is he and he’s ignoring her calls, but I do. It’s hilarious.
And, okay. I’m smug. Totally smug. There’s only one reason he hasn’t told her, and that’s because she hates me too.
Bitchy Best Friend Mission: Level Up!
“And tell me.” I snicker, just about holding back the volcano of laughter threatening to erupt. “Where does Nina think you are?”
“She thinks I’m at Mom’s.” He looks at me, his lips flattening into a thin line. “Stop laughing, B. No, don’t shake your damn head. I fucking mean it. She’s a little insecure over my friendship with you and Carly, that’s all. Sometimes it’s easier to just tell a… little white lie.”
“A little white lie? She thinks you’re at your mom’s!” I laugh harder and wipe at my eyes because they feel a little too wet.
“I just want the best of both worlds right now, all right?”
“What is the best of both worlds? Pizza with me and blow jobs from her?”
“She chooses not to eat gluten. Until she finds a gluten-free recipe she likes, I can’t eat pizza when she’s around.”
Which is a lot.
I raise my eyebrows again. “Your girlfriend won’t eat gluten but she’ll happily put your dick in her mouth?”
“Brooke. Don’t be a bitch.” He chucks a piece of chicken from his pizza at me, his eyes narrowing.
I’m dying. I think this is it—this is how I die, laughing at Cain’s lame excuses for lying to his girlfriend about spending time with me.
“Oh my fuck. This is hilarious. Seriously. Someone call Comedy Central.”
“Brooke.” He says my name again, this time quieter.
I stop laughing. Just about.
“I’m sorry. I just think it’s funny. You want me to be nice to her but you lie to her about spending time with me.” I shrug a shoulder and peel a piece of pepperoni off my pizza. I’m not even that hungry anymore.
He sighs, putting the top down on his box, and sits back. “She thinks there’s something going on between us.”
I laugh even harder because I might cry if I don’t.
Hi, breaking heart. Grab the tissues, yo.
There’s an awkward silence hanging between us now. It’s not the first time someone has thought that, but given that the more time I spend with Cain, the more I seem to fall for him, it’s awkward. Especially since he’s lying to her just to hang out with me.
I clear my throat and look up at him. “That’s ridiculous. You’re my best friend. Like anything would ever happen between us. I can’t put up with your shit taste in music, for a start.”
“Exactly,” he replies in a quieter voice, scratching behind his ear again. “It’s fucking stupid. I can’t stand your taste in music either. Who the fuck likes Justin Bieber?”
“People who think Kanye West should retire.”

By day, New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to two beautiful little monsters. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of whatever she fancies—usually wine—and writes books.

Emma is working on Top Secret projects she will share with her followers and fans at every available opportunity. Naturally, all Top Secret projects involve a dashingly hot guy who likes to forget to wear a shirt, a sprinkling (or several) of hold-onto-your-panties hot scenes, and a whole lotta love.

She likes to be busy—unless busy involves doing the dishes, but that seems to be when all the ideas come to life.

Review: Meet Me Halfway by Kim Carmody

Today is my stop for the  blog tour of Meet Me Halfway by Kim Carmody! Check out the fantastic new romance, and grab your copy today!

About Meet Me Halfway:

An ambitious journalist on a fast track to success.

A round one draft pick determined to keep his personal life his own.

And a documentary that proves sometimes opposites really do attract.

Olivia Callahan is a woman on a mission. When she lands a career defining opportunity in the male-dominated world of sports journalism, she knows it’s make or break time. Olivia’s boss has given her the green light to produce her very own documentary, and she’s not going to let anything get in the way of perfection.

After a few setbacks in college, Nate Sullivan is finally on his way to the big leagues as the newest recruit for the New York Warriors. Determined to put his somewhat colorful past behind him, Nate’s all about the straight and narrow as he sets out to prove he’s worthy of the first round draft pick that’s caused so much debate from fans and media.

The last thing Nate wants is to delve into stories from his past. But when his new team directs him to set the record straight, he has no choice but to cooperate with the feisty, determined reporter who shows up on campus. Olivia is thrilled that Nate Sullivan is her man. His colorful background is just the thing to take her story from memorable to award winning.

What neither of them expected is their attraction to one another, yet try as they might, determination gives way to temptation eventually. As Nate battles to protect his privacy and Olivia fights to produce the story of her career, they must decide what they’re willing to give up in order to gain each other.

Olivia has been given a chance of a lifetime.  An opportunity that will propel her career.  What she doesn’t expect is that the rookie football player she has to do an documentary on would be so mature and sexy for a 22yr old.  Nate hates the idea of a reporter following him around.  But, when he sees her he is instantly attracted to her.  As the story progresses so does their relationship.  When things get tough will they be able to find a way to be together or will their careers tear them apart?

I really enjoyed this book.  At first, I was a bit hesitant.  The age difference and where they are in their lives I couldnt see how their love story would work.  But, as their story went on I truly loved their story and relationship.  It really makes the reader see that even a relationship that has a lot going against it can work out.  Nate and Olivia’s characters were the perfect compliment to each other.  The story is a bit predictable at times but it was still very good romance.  It also includes some very steamy sex scenes.  Many women will be contemplating what a younger man can do…hehehe.  This was my first Kim Carmody book and it definitely won’t be the last.

About Kim Carmody:

Kim Carmody lives in Australia with her husband, in a sunny little part of Melbourne that she never wants to leave. Except for frequent trips to New York, she is happy to leave at least once a year for those.

She holds a Masters in Commerce Marketing and while she spent her younger years training to become a professional dancer, she somehow ended up working in the sports industry, where she met her now husband.  Never a participant or spectator of sport growing up (she was too busy flitting around in a tutu), she has grown to appreciate, if not love many sports and eventually found herself writing about them too.

As an avid book lover from the moment she was introduced to The Babysitters Club as a seven year-old, Kim never expected to be able to call herself an author, but is beyond excited that she now can.

Meet Me Halfway is her second novel.

Review: Hunt the Dawn by Abbie Roads

Today is our stop on the blog tour for Hunt the Dawn by Abbie Roads! Check it out and grab your copy today!

About Hunt the Dawn:

“Dark and delicious.”—Kerrelyn Sparks, New York Times bestselling author on Race the Darkness

Out of darkness and danger…
You can’t hide your secrets from Lathan Montgomery-he can read your darkest memories. And while his special abilities are invaluable in the FBI’s hunt for a serial killer, he has no way to avoid the pain that brings him. Until he is drawn to courageous, down-on-her-luck Evanee Brown and finds himself able to offer her something he’s never offered another human being: himself.

Dawns a unique and powerful love
Nightmares are nothing new to Evanee Brown. But once she meets Lathan, they plummet into the realm of the macabre. Murder victims are reaching from beyond the grave to give Evanee evidence that could help Lathan bring a terrifying killer to justice. Together, they could forge an indomitable partnership to thwart violence, abuse, and death-if they survive the forces that seek to tear them apart.

Lathan has a special talent.  Though he is practically deaf he can smell the emotions and memories of others.  This makes him very useful in helping to solve unsolved crimes.  When he meets a young woman being attacked on the side of the road something compels him to stop.  Evanee’s life hasn’t been easy.  But the moment Lathan steps in her life she feels safe.  She’s never felt safe.  But, when her dreams start flowing into reality she realizes that things with Lathan are very different.  As their feelings grow so do the strange happenings around them.  Can Lathan save the one person who saves him?

I was really taken in with this book.  The specialness of these characters really makes this story.  It was unique and very enthralling.  The world that Abbie Roads has created swirls with paranormal and native american folk lore.  There is also a very emotional level in this book.  I wasn’t expecting a book like this to have the emotions that it did.  This was a truly unique experience that has made my first Abbie Roads book a fantastic one.  If you are looking for a great story, dynamic characters and a bit of paranormal mixed in you will want to pick this up ASAP.

About Abbie Roads:

Seven Things about Abbie Roads:

  1.  She loves Snicker Parfaits. Gotta start with what’s most important, right?
  2. She writes dark emotional books featuring damaged characters, but always gives her hero and heroine a happy ending… after torturing them for three hundred pages.
  3. By day she’s a mental health counselor known for her blunt, honest style of therapy. At night she burns up the keyboard. Well… Burn might be too strong a word. She at least sits with her hands poised over the keyboard, waiting for inspiration to strike. And when it does—the keyboard might get a little warm.
  4.  She can’t stand it when people drive slowly in the passing lane. Just saying. That’s major annoying. Right?
  5.  She loves taking pictures of things she thinks are pretty.
  6.  She’s represented by Michelle Grajkowski of 3 Seas Literary.
  7.  Her first book RACE THE DARKNESS was a Publishers Weekly Top 10 Pick for Fall.
