An up-and-coming MMA fighter wants more than just one night from a woman fleeing her past in New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster’s irresistible new novel

Heavyweight fighter Denver Lewis plays real nice, but he doesn’t share. That’s why he’s been avoiding top-notch flirt Cherry Peyton. But a man can only resist those lush curves for so long. Their encounter surpasses all his fantasies, bringing out protective urges that Cherry’s about to need more than she knows…

Denver’s combination of pure muscle and unexpected tenderness has been driving Cherry wild. Yet no sooner does she get what she’s been craving than old troubles show up on her doorstep. And this time, Cherry can’t hide behind a carefree facade. Because the man by her side is one who’ll fight like hell to keep her safe…if only she’ll trust him enough to let him…

Denver has been fighting his attraction to Cherry.  Knowing that she is friends with a lot of his friends women helps to drive him to keep away from her.  That is until Cherry finally convinces him to grab hold to more than just watching her.  After there steamy night together everything changes.  Both Denver and Cherry’s feelings become more real and undeniable.  But, before anything can happen with Denver and Cherry, Cherry’s past comes back and wants her and will stop at nothing to get to her.  Can Denver and Cherry fight off the past and still be together?

This was my very first Lori Foster book.  Let me tell you I am a huge fan now.  I want to go back and read book one in the Ultimate series and then keep going onto Stack’s book.  Denver and Cherry were so awesome.  Their characters were both relatable and realistic.  Cherry was a great match to the alpha male, Denver.  She was strong and resilient and you see that when her past is uncovered.  But, in the same Denver is a strong alpha male with a heart of gold.  These are always my favorite kinds of males to read about.  The story itself was great with all of the side characters being just as interesting as the main characters.  But, I think one of the best parts of this book was the seamless way that Lori Foster intertwined the love and sex between Denver and Cherry and the suspense of Cherry’s past that comes chasing her.  Overall, this was an entertaining read that kept me wanting more and can’t wait til Stack’s book next.

This book is great. Did not want it to end. My daughter wanted me finish so she could read it.
